Malibu Surfers

The story behind the image

We were out at Neptunes net having a fried lunch. I couldn’t believe how many people there were, I think we parked about a kilometre up the road. There was this constant roar of bike engines. Just across the road from this famous hangout is county line beach. It was kinda like a little cove and I stood out on the edge so I could get a wide shot of the road and the beach. The thing that stuck me was there was no surf but there were a lot of surfers out there. I imagined that they weren’t actually out there to catch a wave, but were out there to escape and find some peace. sometimes just floating on your board in the ocean and feeling the energy of the water is enough.
